TV stations call this month November Sweeps and show much more exciting stories in their dramas.  They try to gain a high score in a survey taking place in November every year.  We viewers were previously told that people in Y&R would be involved in explosion somewhere and a character will be killed in the accident.  At the end of October, almost all celebrities in the show including their kids enjoyed a party with Halloween costumes at the ballroom Victor has built at the top of Newman Building but has not been used for a while.  Then, we viewers were really excited to wonder if the explosion will occur there. 

１１月は、スウィープスといって、アメリカのテレビ局は各局が高視聴率獲得を目指しいつも以上にドラマ制作に力を入れます。噂によれば、Ｙ＆Ｒのセレブたちは爆発に巻き込まれて、そのうちの誰かが死んでしまうということでした。１０月の終わり、ほぼすべてのセレブはハロウィンの衣装を身にまとい、ビクターが自社ビルの屋上に作ったダンスフロアに集まってパティーを楽しんでいます。そんなことから私たち視聴者は、ビクターのビルが爆破されるのではないかと、１１月のスウィープスを心待ちにするのです。
