Oh... I have not really done that sort of thing since Sam died. I had drinks with some friends here, you know, other single people, dinner... it was quiet.

Wasn't the Christmas you expected, was it?

No. It was supposed to be the year that I stopped dreading Christmas. It wasn't, but it's over and now I just have to get through New Year's.
